Cookie Policy
What cookies are, how we use them on weareloud.ae, and how you can control them.
This Cookie Policy explains how LOUD Group L.L.C - F.Z(“LOUD”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) uses cookies and similar technologies on weareloud.ae(the “Site”). It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy, which describes how we handle personal information more generally.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that a website places on your device (computer, tablet, or phone) when you visit. They allow the website to recognise your device on subsequent visits, remember preferences, and gather information about how the site is used. Cookies set by the website you are visiting are called first-party cookies; cookies set by other domains (typically service providers we use) are called third-party cookies.
We also use technologies that work in a similar way to cookies — for example, local storage, session storage, and pixel tags. For simplicity, we refer to all of these as “cookies” throughout this Policy.
2. How we use cookies
We use cookies to make the Site work, to remember your preferences, to understand how the Site is used so we can improve it, and to measure the effectiveness of our communications. We do not use cookies to build advertising profiles or to sell your information to third parties.
3. Categories of cookies we use
3.1 Strictly necessary
These cookies are essential for the Site to function. They enable core functionality such as security, network management, page routing, session continuity, and remembering your cookie-consent choices. The Site cannot function properly without them, and they do not require your consent under applicable law.
Examples include cookies set by our hosting provider (Vercel) for load-balancing and security, and cookies set by our database and authentication provider (Supabase) where you sign in to a portal.
3.2 Functional
These cookies remember choices you make to provide a more personalised experience — for example, accepting our cookie banner, dismissing announcements, or remembering accessibility preferences such as reduced motion. They are set only when you interact with the relevant features.
3.3 Performance and analytics
These cookies help us understand how visitors use the Site by collecting aggregated, anonymised information about page views, time on page, and navigation patterns. We use this information to measure performance and improve the Site. Where we use a first-party privacy-focused analytics solution (such as Vercel Analytics or Vercel Speed Insights), no personally identifying information is collected and the data is not shared with third parties for advertising purposes.
3.4 Marketing
We do not currently set marketing or advertising cookies on the Site. If this changes in the future, we will update this Policy and request your consent through our cookie banner before any such cookies are set.
4. Third-party cookies
Some cookies are set by services we use to operate the Site. These third parties have their own privacy and cookie policies, which we encourage you to review:
- Vercel — hosting, performance monitoring, and analytics. (Vercel privacy policy)
- Cloudflare — content delivery network for heavy media assets such as photography, video, and the hero image sequence. (Cloudflare privacy policy)
- Supabase — database and authentication provider for portal areas of the Site (where applicable). (Supabase privacy policy)
We do not pass personal information to any third party for advertising or marketing purposes.
5. Cookie lifespan
Cookies fall into two broad lifespan categories:
- Session cookies are deleted when you close your browser. They are typically used for short-term state such as navigation and security checks.
- Persistent cookies remain on your device for a defined period — typically up to thirteen months — or until you delete them. They are used to remember preferences and recognise you on return visits.
6. How to manage cookies
When you first visit the Site we present a cookie banner that gives you the choice to accept or reject non-essential cookies. You can change your preferences at any time by clearing your browser's cookies for our domain, which will cause the banner to appear again on your next visit.
You can also manage cookies through your browser settings. Most modern browsers allow you to:
- See which cookies are stored and delete them individually.
- Block third-party cookies.
- Block cookies from specific sites.
- Block all cookies.
- Delete all cookies when you close the browser.
For browser-specific instructions, see the help pages for Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Edge. Note that blocking strictly-necessary cookies may break parts of the Site.
7. Do Not Track
Some browsers send a “Do Not Track” (DNT) signal. There is no industry-wide consensus on how DNT signals should be interpreted, and the Site does not currently respond to them. Where you have rejected non-essential cookies through our cookie banner, however, we honour that choice regardless of any DNT signal.
8. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in technology, the services we use, or applicable law. Updates will be reflected in the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Material changes will be brought to your attention through our cookie banner.
